Mooning around the Mediterranean

That night we had dinner at Silver Note. A couple of nights previously our waitlist had cleared and we got a message that the booking was for 9.30pm. We cancelled as usually asleep at that time. That night we received the mid cruise Questionnaire so I made a suggestion that due to the obvious limited number of bookings that they limit the bookings to 1 or 2 per suite per voyage. That night the Restaurant Manager visited us in Atlantide and asked if we would like a booking for the next night. However we had already arranged dinner with another couple for that night. So he said leave it to me and I will send you a message for a booking. When we return to our suite after dinner I always check our messages. One was from the restaurant manager with a confirmed booking for 2days time at 8pm.

So here we are. First the restaurant. We were the second couple to arrive.

A sea day and obviously everyone on line. CC is really slow and have already lost this next post once but here we go again.

Rojaan began with the mushroom mousse. Unfortunately I had forgotten that I had had the beehive at Silver Note on the Muse in 2019 and how disappointed I was with it. The tiny little portions of the ingredients doesn;t let you really taste the different foods on the plate. Trying to be too clever.

For mains Rojaan had the lobster tail whilst I had the lamb. On the advice of another passenger I had ordered an extra piece of lamb. Both dishes excellent.

For desserts Rojaan had the Volcano and I had the berries.DSC07574.thumb.JPG.8a7614d15bbb75d8efbdd37b86f01f7c.JPG

 Both nice.

However we both thought it wasn't really worth the hastle. Our next 3 cruises are on the Muse and all over 30 days. We will maybe try Silver Note once on each cruise.

And an Expedition ship nearby, Ocean Odyssey. Described as being leased from a Danish company. Though a simple search vreveals ultimate ownership is a Chines company who built it and it's sister ships also leased out. One to an Australian company -the Greg Mortimer.

Now off for a drive before touring the old city.

Up to the high point of the city where the really old town is very slowly being excavated and restored. Great views.

And the Temple of Hermes being Demolished stone by stone as an earlier restoration was causing problems.

6 hours ago, Mr Luxury said:

I like this space but only for a drink and to listen to the duo.

I don't think that I would have a dinner there.

I’ve eaten there a few times, or I should say wife has. I’m a meat & potato guy, and no fish. Dear wife however, loves it. I have some wine, pick at a dish, eat some bread and watch her enjoying it.  We both do like it for a drink and the duo.
