JLDMED Posted March 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Has anyone else had problems with postcards mailed from the ship? On our recent (2/13-2/25) trip to Panama on Galaxy, I mailed 5-10 postcards from almost every port. These were given to the ships bank (as directed), who charged me the port's prevailing postage rate. As of this writing, NONE of my postcards have made it back to the states...including 7 postcards they said would be mailed from GALVESTON because I had missed the cut-off time in Grand Cayman! I am a little frustrated! Besides the cost of the postcards themselves (I sent a lot!), I also seem to have wasted a lot of money on postage. We've been home two weeks -- postcards should have arrived long ago! WHAT'S THE DEAL????
MrLee Posted March 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I can'y speak for anuwhere else but it took 4 weeks to get a post card from Grand Cayman when I went there on the Ryndam. I got home Feb 6 and the cards came last tuesday,
crzrr Posted March 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Yup... we had same experience. We beat the postcards home by weeks. They were mailed from the countries we stopped at... just seem to have traveled by burro. You can email with a digital picture... course, it costs a little more...
