legend of the sea vs explorer of the seas

we are trying to plan a cruise for our children and grandchildren for President's Day week, Feb. 2007. We are debating between Legend of the Sea which leaves out of Tampa or Explorer which leaves out of Miami. The Legend cruise is much less money, but I know nothing about the ship. We took everyone (our two daughters, son-in-law and three grandchildren ages 6,9, and 12 at the time) last year on Jewel of the Sea and it was fabulous!!! They want to do it again, and if Jewel had the eastern Caribbean that week, we would have sailed that ship. We are traveling from the Wash., D.C. area and New Jersey, so either way we will have to fly to our embarkation point. Any comments would be very appreciated.
