Old Port vs. New Port - Mykonos

Hello! We are sailing on Enchantment of the Seas with Royal Caribbean, trying to figure out a beach day plan for Mykonos. I keep reading that most ships dock at the New Port, but our itinerary says that Mykonos is a tender port. Does that mean that we will end up at the Old Port? TIA!

The "old port" is just a harbour, for pleasure craft and fishing boats.

Cruise ships moor off-shore and passengers are tendered (free, of course) into the town harbour

The newish cruise berths and ferry terminals are about 2 miles from the town. Passengers can get to town by bus or taxi. Or by a waterbus which takes them to the town harbour for a few euros.

Our experience - and that of other CC members is that decisions about tendered or berthed are sometime changed at the last minute (winds, tides etc).

When you're in the harbour say hello to Petros 😏
