Anyone stayed at Econolodge in Galveston?

We will be staying there pre-cruise and I was wondering how it is and if it is within walking distance to the beach. What is it close to?

Hi Stacy,as a matter of fact we stayed there in march,this is a farely new hotel very clean,and the rooms are huge,with micro-waves and fridges.Ii is only a block off SeaWall close enough to the beach if intrested,just a few blocks from Wal-Mart also if you forget anything,also free breakfast if this is a need. we took a cab from the hotel,only 6.00 cheaper than parking and lots easier.Have a good cruise wish we were there too.
