Sky Sweet Posted March 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Sky suites on the sky deck of C class ships offer the best of both worlds because you get both a very large balcony and a good midship location. However, if you book a concierge class cabin on an M class ship you can either have a small balcony with a good mid ship location or sacrifice location to get a very large balcony. Which is more important to you a mid ship location or a large balcony?
Mom2Joce Posted March 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2006 I often think of this myself. We've always gone midship as I'm not sure how much motion of the ocean I can take??? Those balcony's look SO big and nice in the back but I just wonder how much rocking one feels when back there?
ocngypz Posted March 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2006 I've had both and I prefer the Sky Suites on the Sky Deck of the Century Class vessels.
BeckyR Posted March 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2006 We've had both, too. I prefer the Sky Deck Sky Suites on Century class ships. But then, the Galaxy is my favorite ship, so I guess that figures. On the M-class ships, I go for the aft cabins with the big balconies. We go on cruises to "get away" from crowds, etc., so I much prefer to be on my balcony than jockeying for position around a pool. Therefore, we go for the large balconies. We felt little motion, no vibration, etc., Very enjoyed able cabin in every way. Becky
flashdog_1 Posted March 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2006 I prefer the sky suite on sky deck on Century, but don't think I could afford it again. CC may be as high as I go from here on out.
Leela Posted March 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2006 My mom & I are some of those lucky people who do not get sea sick, so if we can't afford the Sky Suite then we'll take the aft CC if we can get it. I figure if I can handle a stormy transatlantic and another stormy trip on the Gulf of Alaska, then I'm willing to risk it for the aft CC with the huge balcony.
