PlumMad Posted March 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Could anyone tell me if they can take my digital camera card and burn it onto a CD? I only have one memory card and would like to bring it to the photo shop to put on CD, then I could erase the card and reuse. If they do provide this service, do you know how much it costs? gjkubel Posted March 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2006 I don't know the cost, but they do offer that service.
PlumMad Posted March 13, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Thanks! I guess I will pay whatever the charge. That sure will be convenient. :)
Pixiescleo Posted March 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Thanks for asking this question, I wondered the same thing. I could buy a 1G card, but was going to have the pictures burned onto a CD when I got home anyway. This way I can save the cost of the card and put it toward having it done on the ship. We're on the Radiance 03/26. How about you? :-) Marg
Aprille Posted March 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2006 I believe the cost is around $15-20. I read a post on CC once that someone used this service, got home and the CD was blank. I'm not sure if there is a way to check it on the ship or not. With the cost of memory cards as low as they are these days, why not just stock up? PlumMad Posted March 13, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Yep - We are on the Radiance 3/26. An extra card is just one less thing I have to go buy. It seems like I am going to the store for something I forgot constantly. I will take the chances and use the ship photo gallery. I will also have a couple disposible cameras to use. kyriecat Posted March 13, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 13, 2006 It was $25 per CD on October. If you have a 1GB card that is full, it will take 2 CDs (700 MB each) to download your card. I haven't had any CDs burned onboard so I don't know if they show you the CD on a computer to verify it is yours and correct or not. The computers onboard didn't have CD drives so you can't verify it that way.
MrChuckFL Posted March 13, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2006 I just got a 1GB card from Circuit City for $29 after rebate. I would skip the CD and get another card.
