Rome Disembarkation Tour with independently booked hotel

My wife and I are looking forward to a Mediterranean cruise in August and we’ve just extended our stay in Rome for a day with an independently arranged hotel. I’m hoping to do the disembarkation tour, but I’m wondering if we’ll be able to since the tour note mentions transfer to a “Norwegian program hotel”. 
 

Has anyone done a disembarkation tour without a same day flight or hotel booked with Norwegian? I’m guessing I’ll be able to arrange something with the tour staff, but I figured I’d see if anyone here who has had a similar situation could give advice before booking anything. Thanks!
