Post Cruise Excursion/Disembarkation Time?

Hello!

First time going on cruise in a few weeks to Alaska, round trip from Seattle. We are planning to do a Seattle City Tour through Princess at the end of the cruise since our flight isn't until the evening.

Seattle tour is scheduled for 8:15am and cruise doesn't dock until 7am. Should we do self disembarkation or will Princess give us an early enough disembarkation time to make the tour? We have a couple elderly people, so concerned about them navigating their own luggage, especially if stairs or anything is involved.

Thanks for the advice!

I'd check on the ship, but my guess is that if you are already booked for the debark tour through Princess, you will get the colored luggage tags and will be in a group with the others on your tour. In the debark info that they pass out a few days before the end, it will have a list of where and when to meet.

TW6cruise's "guess" is correct. On several of our last cruises there were specific colored luggage tags just for individual debark tours.

Disembarking in Buenos Aires last February we never even saw our bags until we got to the airport after our debark tour. DW was worried but all was good. There was a specific spot where the tour bus dropped us off at the airport with all the bags being guarded by a Princess representative. Nicely done.

That is correct.  You will be given colored luggage tags that correspond with everyone else that is on your debark tour and will be given a notice prior to disembarkation telling you the designated disembarkation lounge on the ship and the time to meet there.  You will be met there by someone from Shore Excursions and everyone on the tour will disembark together once they get notice that your bus has arrived.  Pick up your bags in the terminal and someone from Shore Excursions will be outside to guide you to your bus.
