You can type "tipping" into the search function and get a ton of information on pros and cons of different philosophies, as well as a description of the two ways Carnival can do it pre-paid or reverse

How does the tipping work for a 5 night cruise? Do you pay all of it at the end or do they give you seperate envelopes for each person with a suggested amt.

The first entry on your Sail & Sign account will be the total amount of your automatic tips (example: 2 people, 5 nights = $100).

FYI - This is broken down as follows:

$5.50 per passenger per day to your waiter and his assistant.

$3.50 per passenger per day to your cabin steward.

$1.00 per passenger per day to the Lido dining personnel.
