Gibney Beach Question (st john)

I read somewhere on the internet that I should arrange my travel to gibney beach in advance.....is this true? Or can I just arrive off of the ferry and take a taxi cab to gibney beach?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

You can easily take a cab from Cruz Bay to Gibney Beach. All you need to do make arrangements with that same cab driver to pick you up at a specific time. That's it. :)

I think you may have read that on the ***** St. John beach guide, under Taxi Availability it says: Arrange in Advance. What that means is that taxis are not readily available once at Gibney Beach, you'd need to stand by the main road and try to flag one down when you are ready to leave so the suggestion is to arrange the return taxi in advance. Getting there isn't an issue, plenty of taxis in Cruz Bay by the Ferry dock.
