It is an absolutely beautiful day out.

We have gone far enough north now the temperature has cooled off. There is still a little tinge of warmth in the air for those who prefer it but also a nice cool breeze.

Wonderful.

Waiting on the diamond galley tour now.

There is a diamond galley tour today at 2. I'm going to go get in some walking before that starts.

I will move up to diamond on my next cruise.  Are these diamond galley tours (or other special diamond tours) offered on many carnival cruises?  How are you notified of availability?

Good morning.

With another time change ship time is now 1114.

Today is our fourth and final sea day before our first port since Bermuda.

It is also our second elegant night.

Going to wipe the sleep from my eyes and get this day going now.

How was Bermuda?

The galley tour was worth the price of admission.  I was not unhappy with it, it was a chance to see an area you can't usually see and something to do. There were some complainers who I guess that it was going to be something a little more formal and in depth.

I didn't photograph much just took it all in but I did take a few photos.

The rest of the afternoon I've spent walking and enjoying the sauna. It's been a nice lazy sea day and will probably be lazy evening.

It's been a great day for walking as the temperature outside has gotten cooler. It's been very nice and hopefully I can continue to expect more moderate temperatures.

Tonight is second elegant night and I'm back in the room and will start getting ready soon. Keeping an eye on the wait time, currently still under 10.

I think it is more typical on Journeys cruises for these extra invites. I had a letter in my room last night with an invite from the hotel director.

A separate galley tour was offered for everyone later in the day.

I've also gotten an invite previously to a dinner held outside with a special menu and you know it's good because they put out tablecloths 😆

I have not gotten an invite yet so I don't think I will be one of the chosen ones this time but it was a very nice menu if you get a chance to go.

Enjoyed the corn fritter. I've never seen that before.

The crab cake though was very good. Very generous size, and not too much filler like you get sometimes.

Not counting specialty dining, I think that's the best crab cake I've had on a cruise ship.

Teriyaki salmon 737.

The shrimp was OK. A little salty but not bad.

The fettuccine was very good. I think part of the new menus. Could use some Cajun seasoning but I understand that's not likely catering to American tastes.

Dessert at 758.

Grand mariner souffle and key lime mousse.

Rewinding back to my day in Bermuda.

We had no formal plans for the day. My mom wanted to do some shopping and then after she was done I would go back out and explore around. I had downloaded offline maps for Bermuda which allowed me to see what was nearby, but unfortunately I could not get directions to places without being connected to internet. This should not be a problem going forward as I plan to purchase a data plan that will cover all my stops in Europe, if it is compatible with my phone.

We got off this ship at 10:19 to see what we could see.

We wondered around aimlessly for a little while as I attempted to navigate google maps. I saw something called a craft market that I thought my mom would be interested in but we were not able to locate it. I found it later, and it turns out we were very very close to it when we gave up.

I saw two more areas that seemed to be shopping areas. One I never did find. The other we ended up walking into without realizing it as the entrance to it on the map was on the opposite end to where we came in, in fact the actual entrance was blocked off with a sign that said please use other entrance. Google might want to update that.

This was from the clocktower mall.

We wondered around there for a little while. Most of the stores were priced above what my mom was willing to pay but she did find a nice piece of costume jewelry that she purchased.

After we walked around there for a little while my mom decided that was all she could handle and we began to make our way back to the ship.

We were back onboard at 1142. I had finished my water so I refilled my bottle and set back out to explore on my own.

I got back off at 1216.

Looking back to the Freedom.

The fort is the first thing I want to check out so I head in that direction.

I bought an Europe eSim from mobimatter for my Spain-Portugal cruise. $7.99 for 5 GBs good for 30 days. Great value since we had port days one after next.
