tracie Posted June 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2004 We have a four year old who is a major climber, and we are worried about doing a balcony cabin. Any suggestions!! tracie
hstrybuf Posted June 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2004 Keep the door to the balcony locked and only let her out on it with an adult. If she's as smart as some 4 year olds, explain the result of falling overboard from a balcony. If this doesn't do the trick for you or if she's good at opening locks, don't book the balcony. born2crooz Posted June 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2004 I could barely open the balcony door myself, so I didn't have to worry about my children. At night, lock the door at attach something that would make a noise when opened ( a bell, maybe). Just for peace of mind. Don't worry. I don't think I've ever heard of a child falling overboard. Plenty of adults, though.
