merinski Posted October 31, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2023 Has anyone used this company? Looking into transportation from our hotel in Galveston to the port, this company has good prices...
merinski Posted November 7, 2023 Author #2 Share Posted November 7, 2023 We did some research and we have now booked this company. They responded right away, were very friendly and sounded professional. They are called Airport Transportation and Limousine service.

Hello, what did you think of transportation provided by Airport Transportation and Limousine Service? We will need transportation from a Galveston hotel to the Royal Caribbean terminal. Thanks! merinski Posted January 23 Author #6 Share Posted January 23 We were disappointed. We were told we would be picked up at 10am. At 8:55am we had a call from the driver saying he would be there in 5 min!!! We were not really ready, but had to scrabble and get down to the lobby and did catch him. Other than that we got there, but Dwayne had told us 10am and to only have 5 min to change course was not nice! Plus we ended up sharing a van, which we didn't mind, but had also been told it would just be us. I would not stay in Galveston again. I would stay in Houston and get transportation from there.
cruisewingman Posted January 23 #7 Share Posted January 23 You're being quite charitable given that they changed the time AND changed it from a private to a group shuttle. But as you said you're there and you can move on to enjoy your cruise. Have a great time! How did you get from the airport to galveston?

Why do you recommend staying in Houston instead of Galveston? We are going in April.
merinski Posted January 23 Author #9 Share Posted January 23 we were just there. We stayed in Galveston for 2 days before our cruise. We thought it would be nice to explore Galveston. However it is hard to get transportation there. Especially to the port. If you are flying in to Houston. The hotels are much cheaper and it is easier to get transportation from Houston. We did it from Houston one other time and it was so much easier. Now if you are Driving to Galveston that would be different. It is still hard to get transportation to the port. Taxi's are not always available. At least that is what we have heard. We took a trolley around Galveston, but we didn't really find a lot that we wanted to do. Accommodations are very expensive. It wasn't worth it to us. 1
Sherbertscamper Posted January 31 #10 Share Posted January 31 We reserved a ride with Uber for our transportation from hotel in Galveston to port. It was more expensive to reserve in advance, but we wanted to know that we would have transportation available when we wanted to leave. it was $30 from the Baymont to Princess port. when I called around to different shuttle services, one of the dispatchers said that you have to call the morning of and they tell you when they have availability.
