Montego Bay's Best Beach?

We'll be on the 8/27 Freedom cruise

 

Looking for a beach with clean white sand leading down to clear, calm water, surrounded by palms and lush plantasia

 

Besides being lazy beach bums lounzing in a chair, we also are water rats and like to enjoy the typical Caribeean beach activites.

 

Started some research and between Sunset Beach, Tropical Beach, Doctor's Cave Beach, and Cornwall Beach, does any one beach come close?

 

All are within a decent taxi ride from the pier? About $3 PP right?

 

I believe all are private beaches with various charges, so far, leaning towards Subnset Beach.

 

Finally, would like a no-pressure tourist shopping stop on the way back to the ship from whatever beach we end up on...thoughts and recommendations?
