LarryF Posted March 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2006 I've never been charged a fee for cashing travelers checks on any cruiseline including RCL.
Alexis Posted March 20, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2006 Does anyone know if there is a fee to cash traveler's checks onboard Royal Caribbean ships? No fee. If the line at the Pursers desk is long, cash them in the casino. It is fast and you can cash any amount.

I found out the hard way !! I almost got the AAA card like that to take with us when my branch gave up issuing the checks in their office. (I did not feel safe in ordering the checks by mail from AAA.) I then read on here of all the problems other CC's had trying to use the card. Thank goodness for Cruise Critic.;)
Sheffie Posted March 20, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 20, 2006 Don't forget that if you run out of $$$ you can also go to the casino and get cash. (They assume, I guess, that you will use it for gambling.) The charge goes directly on your Sign and Sail card, and then you pay it off with your credit card. We do this if we need more cash, and it we get the 1% back from Discover!
