Summerfield Suites/Miami

Has anyone stayed at the Summerfields suites at Miami airport? We have been looking for lodging for 2 days pre-cruise and was looking for rooms with kitchens or kitchenettes but was shocked:eek: at how much those close to the port are:( . We had TA check The Mutiny and a 2br. was $499.00/night:eek: , but would be more for a bayview. We aren't sailing until 02/23/07 but wanted to get some info from other cruiseers. Thanks for any help:D . We have noticed there are so MANY bad reviews for Miami hotels on tripadvisor we are concerned as were to stay!!

We stayed there a couple years ago after a cruise. We really liked it. Very convenient. We just picked up some soup and small items in their convenience store and cooked our own supper. We were too tired to go out. We used their shuttle to the airport the next morning.

Had to go check to make sure we had stayed there and I was looking up Wyndham and couldn't find it, so finally went in under Summerfield Suites and find that it's a Hyatt property now.

Any ways we stayed there July 2004 coming and going to Ecuador for our Galapagos cruise.

Loved the set up. Kids enjoyed the pool and it was an easy walking distance to the Aero Restaurant and if you headed the other way to Walgreens, etc.

If it is the one on Blue Lagoon Drive it is very nice and the suites are great with plenty of room. 94th Aerosquadron restuarant is right down the street and has great views of the runways at Miami International Airport.

Enjoy your stay,

mcboo:) :) :)
