packedandready Posted March 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2006 On nights we may be lazy is there anywhere where shorts are acceptable (other than room service)? Thanks

packedandready Posted March 21, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted March 21, 2006 I wasn't referring to the main dining room. We strickly adhere to the dress code there. But since the Oasis is considered "casual" dining I was hoping........ We saw shorts alot in the Windjammer on the Rhapsody, even in the evening. Was just wondering if the same was true for the Oasis.

tabasco Posted March 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Just returned from galaxy panama canal - fantastic cruise - you can eat hamburgers/hotdogs by the pool and the pizza pasta bar is open all night. The casual dining in the buffet area at night is casual too - you need to make a reservation. We ate in the dining room though every night - you'll want to do that, the food and service are superior in there.
tawcat Posted March 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2006 there is no where other than the aforementioned pizza bar where shorts are acceptable wear for dinner. galaxy does not offer a truly casual (shorts etc) dining area in the evening. the hamburgers and hotdogs referred to are served up to like 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Longboysfan Posted March 21, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2006 On nights we may be lazy is there anywhere where shorts are acceptable (other than room service)? Thanks You can hit alternative dining upstairs in the Oasis. But first stop by the Sushi bar. Or maybe outside for a plate of Pasta or your own to made pizza. There are lots of alternatives and food choices at night. Alternative Dining should let you sit if you have a clean shirt and shorts. That is what it's there for. And we were also just off the Galaxy. At night from 6pm on it's food row up there.
springtxbill Posted March 21, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2006 No shorts in the casual dining in the evening. The food choices are actually limited after 6:00 when the burger, hot dog area closes. You then have the dining room, the casual dress Oasis whcih serves the dining room menu but the dress code does not require the jackets, and the pizza area.
