Hi Going on the Glory this Saturday.

What beach would you recommend in St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Which beach has decent snorkeling right from the beach?? Also which beach has jet ski rentals and parasailing.

Thanks for your help!

Coki Beach in St Thomas has decent snorkeling. Sapphire Beach is also very nice. Snorkeling in St Maarten is so so I guess. Dawn Beach is supposed to be ok. Orient Beach is a nicer beach though. Most of the beaches in St Maarten have jet skis available for rent.

I posted this in another thread ...

Another vote for Coki. In addition to our cruise stop, we've spent two separate weeks in St. Thomas (most recent was last April) and Coki was our absolute favorite snorkel beach in St. Thomas. (Hawksnest and Honeymoon in St. John). At Coki, you can purchase dog biscuits (4/$1.00) to feed the fish with... the fish will swarm around you - it's really neat! There is a hut (or two) where you can purchase food & drink - try the Strawberry margaritas - they are like thick Strawberry milkshakes - sweet, smooth and yummy!!!!) Also, there were a few women going around selling (not aggressively) beaded jewelry. It wasn't all that expensive but very nice and my daughter still has it a year later. It's not a huge beach, but it's very 'comfortable'. Don't forget the underwater camera - great fishy opportunities!

Have fun!!!

I vote Sapphire Beach in St Thomas and little known Bae Rouge on St Maarten, both lovely beaches and not all crowded.

Also, there's no admission charge to Sapphire and you have a resort that will allow you to use their facilities and bar/restaurant.
