Cruiser@Heart Posted June 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2004 Hi, I booked my Sensation cruise on Monday. As of tonight, my credit card still doesn't reflect the purchase of the cruise. Just wondered how long it typically takes Carnival to bill for a cruise? When I access my credit card info it shows a hold reflecting the cruise price, but it was showing the hold on Tuesday morning when I checked my current credit card activity online. I know it isn't my TA's office, because my credit card has always been billed within 10-24 hours for other purchases/reservations. steveaaaa Posted June 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2004 It can take a while. CCL must clear the batch file for cc payments. The hold or temp authorization is exactely that, a hold. When they clear the batch, it turns into a charge. Steve
Cruiser@Heart Posted June 12, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted June 12, 2004 Thanks. I am one of those people that like to pay charges on my card as soon as possible, so I typically make online payments as soon as charges post. Guess I'll keep my $$$ in my savings account a little longer.
