Is Sapphire Princess the only ship for SA cruises?

Recommended Posts

Is the Sapphire Princess the only ship that does South American/Cape Horn cruises?  Looking for one in 2026, preferably LA around the Horn and ending in FLL.  I saw one cruise like that in 2024.Does anyone know if this is a normal cruise or just a one off?

The Sapphire is the ship designated to South America since the restart.  Star, which is no longer in the fleet, and the Emerald were the ships designated to SA until the shutdown.

The Majestic will be doing a circumnavigation of South America from LA to FLL this winter because it's repositioning from the Pacific to the Atlantic and it's too big to fit through the Panama Canal.  The 51 day cruise is a total of 3 segments--LA to Santiago, Santiago to Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires to Fort Lauderdale.  It's a now or never situation until Princess needs to reposition a Royal/Sphere Class ship.  Pricing is pretty fair for the 51 Day segment.

It all depends on the year. I find the SA cruises are the most variable of what Princess offers. For example this year there is a 52 day LA to FLL that will do Antarctica. But i dont believe tjere is a similar cruise in 2025.

The Majestic is doing a repositioning cruise around Cape Horn, it does not venture into Antarctica.    Sapphire is the only Princess ship doing Antarctica at the beginning of the season.

I stand corrected.
