Iona dining for 12

Hi, we are thinking of booking a fjords cruise for our 30th anniversary (in 2026) and although we have done it previously on brittania and Iona we have never been away with such a large group as there could potentially be twelve of us.

I think our kids and their partners would prefer Iona but am a bit concerned as to how easy it will be to book dinner in the MDR? We last went in 2022 and had a few problems with a group of 7. I’m just wondering if anyone knows if they even do tables that large and will it be a headache every night trying to get one. Many thanks in advance 🙂

They only do tables for 10 because we had a party of 12 and we were split up . When we had 11 one evening they squeezed an extra place in .

A table of 12 will take for ever to be served. I would break it down into two tables of six and change who you sit with each night.

Yes I too think this would cause a headache to maitre d if it was every night. Two tables of 6 next to each other ? Will you all be eating together every night?
