Inside cabin on MS Richard

We had a fabulous north bound Norwegian coast trip in March and decided to go back to Norway again next year. The last time, we had a room on the 5th deck of the MS Kong Harold with a partially obstructed view, which was fine for us. The only time we were in our cabin, for the most part, was to sleep.

So we are considering getting an inside cabin this time, to save a bit since we won't be in the room much. The ship will be the MS Richard With. From what I've read, deck 3 can be very noisy, but I'd love opinions on inside cabins on deck 5. Pros and cons. And I've read that the starboard side is preferable. Thank you!
