crazy4cruzin Posted March 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2006 My DH and I will be taking our two teenagers (17 & 14) on a 10 day Mediterranean cruise in July on the Galaxy. This will be our first Mediterranean cruise. My kids are veteran cruisers (14) of the Caribbean and know what to expect on a cruise, but I am thinking a Mediterranean cruise might be a little different. My question is will there be many children, especially teens on Mediterrean cruises, or is it mostly couples and adults? How many formal nights are on a 10 night cruise, I read it is 3, is this correct? Is there an actual teen program on the Galaxy or a gathering place dedicated to teens? I know we will be busy with port days, but for the evenings and the 3 days at sea it would be fun for my teens if they had friends to hang out with. Anyone with experience with taking teens on a Med. cruise? I would love to read about your experience and any advice. Thanks
crazy4cruzin Posted March 27, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted March 27, 2006 Someone must have taken teens on a Mediterranean Cruise - I would love to hear how it differs, if at all, from a Caribbean cruise for teens.
poetic license Posted March 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2006 crazy4cruzin, There is a dedicated space on GALAXY for teens, up on Deck 12 forward just inside the disco .... off to the left, they have their own entrance. We are taking two of our four kids next year on a Mediterranean cruise, probably the end of May or beginning of June. They will be 18 and 16 then, and have cruised before as your own have. I don't think it's uncommon to see kids during June and July on Mediterranean cruises. Many school districts start by mid-August now, so August would probably see a marked drop in families cruising. And yes, there's three formal nights on a 14 night cruise. Have Fun! Cheers~
