Portimao Excursion question

Recommended Posts

We will be in Portimao in September on the Voyager and have signed up for the 4x4 excursion. My question is for anyone who has done this excursion. How bumpy is the ride? Did you enjoy it and would you recommend it to others?

I did the Portimao 4x4 excursion in May 2022.  We were met at the terminal with enclosed jeeps and were mainly on secondary and gravel roads.  I did not think it was overly bumpy, but I have been traveling to Boy Scout camping trips over similar road for decades.   I liked seeing the natural countryside and hearing them tell about the wildfires which had been there several years prior.

Thank you. We also prefer being in the country and getting away from the crowds appeals to us. Good to hear it’s not too bumpy.
