Pride of america and the land tour

Recommended Posts

Looking at this one, but had some questions.  Mainly about the hotel.

Is it all inclusive?  I am assuming the excursions during the land portion are included.

Tried looking at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, but didn't really say anything.

Also, is the land + cruise worth the extra 2k over just the cruise?  Was able to search this and everyone said it was good, but nothing really specific.

We did the 3 day land pre-cruise tour back in 2019 and thought it was great.  Our hotel was the Hilton Hawaiian Village at Waikki Beach, it was great, lots to do.  Only the hotel and tour was included with NCL, we were on our own for food and drinks.

For the tour you had the same bus driver and same group on your bus every day. Wished I could remember out drivers name, he was great and very knowledge.  I'm sure they all are.

They make it really easy to transition to the ship on Saturday, the last day of the land tour.  You leave your luggage in your room, head on the bus for the day and the bus drops you at the port.  NCL goes through the hotel, picks up all the luggage from the rooms and delivers it to the pier so you don't even need to worry about it.

Things might have changed since 2019 but that was our experience.  As for the Pride of America its self, it's completely different then any other NCL ship we've been on. We found it to be a boring ship with not a lot to do but then again after being out all day on the islands it is nice just to relax when you get back on the ship. The service is not as great as the other ships and there is no casino.   Regardless of all of this, we did have a great time and I'm glad we did it.
