I currently use an electric (rechargeable battery) mower but the robotic ones make me nervous. 
Friends had their house burn down due to a faulty robotic vacuum cleaner.

I had to laugh at the video, I vacuum up half a cat when I vacuum the house, as my lad's a hairy beast. I don't think he's a Mensa candidate so I doubt he'd see a robot vac as a fairground ride 😵‍💫.

 

On another divergent tack, rechargeable lithium ion batteries are a bit of a worry. Much as I would like to avoid them, my toothbrush (I think), the leaf blower and my stick vacuum cleaner all have them 🥴.

I'm hearing you, Jean. We reckon if we'd saved all of our Labrador's shed hair we could have easily stuffed a king sized mattress by now (after 5.5 years). Even our friends who bred her (and they have 6 labs) can't believe how much our girl sheds. I don't know how many times I have remarked she should be bald given the amount of hair I vacuum up on a daily basis.😂
