lhegs Posted March 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2006 I've gone to the ports of call page and am looking for things to do with a family 4 kids ages 3-15 in Panama. We do not want to spend lots of money on excursions here, but want something to do. Any suggestions?
Ronn452 Posted March 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2006 If you want a snapshot of the country, try the excursion to Puerto Bello if it is offered. It will give you a little flavor of the country. Since it is a three or four hour excursion, you will have time to shop at the terminal in Colon. The other trips are more extensive; taking you across the country to Panama City or into the interior to see the local tribes. Both are time consuming and expensive. In the terminal are a lot of vendors with typical souvenirs; but the crafts by the local indian tribes are true handmade crafts and worth checking out. Hope this helps!
