DPTANDT Posted Sunday at 06:01 AM #1 Share Posted Sunday at 06:01 AM We will be making a port call in December on the Seabourn Encore at Sihanoukville in Cambodia. There seems to be some confusion about whether passengers need to arrange a Visa in advance, or whether Seabourn arrange a Visa onboard on arrival. Has anyone any experience of this? Travelling to our local Cambodia Embassy to arrange a Visa could be time consuming and expensive and we’d like avoid the hassle if possible! Thanks everyone, any info appreciated! Mrs. Claypool Posted Sunday at 03:21 PM #2 Share Posted Sunday at 03:21 PM We visited Sihanoukville on the Seabourn in the spring of last year. Seabourn arranged our visas on board and the cost was $50 pp, charged to our shipboard account.
DPTANDT Posted Tuesday at 07:53 AM Author #3 Share Posted Tuesday at 07:53 AM Just received a reply from Seabourn Guest Services. The Visa required for Sihanoukville will indeed be arranged by Guest Services onboard, at an estimated cost of $65 per person. As the local Cambodian Embassy charges $45, it doesn’t seem such a bad deal! Saves us a night in a hotel so makes sense.
Mrs. Claypool Posted Tuesday at 07:47 PM #4 Share Posted Tuesday at 07:47 PM My memory has been jogged. Yes, it was also $65 per person last year when Encore arranged our Cambodian visas on board. Either way, it’s a small additional price to pay to avoid the hassle of travelling to your local embassy. I hope that you enjoy Sihanoukville. Happy travels!
