Nothing much to report. It’s a slightly bumpier than we have been having and people are being careful how they walk around the YC.

We skipped breakfast and also gave Captain's cocktails a miss this time, preferring to rest in our room.

We have yet to check out the state of play upstairs on the pool deck.

We went up to the pool deck and thought they had added a wave machine to the pool! The water was moving in waves and we sat and watched it, mesmerised, as if we were watching the tide come in on a windy beach! It was very windy and although the wind was not too cold it but I grabbed a towel anyway.dea2c6bf-a604-4a44-8315-96f775c7ab7f.thumb.jpeg.06f496d61d66c301bebe4bc030d468cb.jpeg

Not many guests were up there, although a few were using the more sheltered smoking area.

We found different spots to look out at the sea.
IMG_2402.thumb.jpeg.0927f79121ce2f67ae55c2fd2698d81d.jpegWhen we went to the very front by the hot tubs we were alarmed to see two of the safety glass windows protectors around one of the pools was moving a lot and looked like they could break loose. We had notice one screw on the floor by the tub yesterday and there was a further two today. We then realised they matched the ones in the posts holding the glass in place.

Viewrecentphotos.thumb.jpeg.f44b3db636e9a3cdf27c42ef8ba238ed.jpeg There was also a screw missing on the other hot tub screen but although it was starting to move it hadn’t worked quite as loose as the others. We decided to report it to the pool attendant and again to the other one when nobody acted straight away. It looked like a potential accident waiting to happen. The second attendant said he would immediately talk to the bridge but, we weren’t sure if he just meant to close the pools due to rough weather. We will check later as it needs to be addressed.

The choppy crossing got the better of us and we opted to miss gala night and eat in the room instead. It was all good!

We’ve packed our bags ready to put out this evening and have planned to use our Diamond Voyagers status to leave room later in the morning.

Sailing is much smoother since we are nearer Mallorca. We are now well into an old movie on TV but will enjoy tomorrow as it’s forecast to be warm and sunny.
We’ve not been in bed before 1am this cruise but, tonight, an early night is calling us!
Good night!

Beautiful day in Mallorca as the forecast promised. We had a feast on the top deck of cereal and pastries and admired the Mallorca’s mountains behind the coastline of boats and hotels. Just perfect.

I saw managers around the problematic screen around the hot tubs and believe the issue must have been rectified. We’ll have a closer look when we have our final hot tub soak a little later.
all the staff work extremely hard constantly cleaning, serving drinks, sorting one meal after another at the buffet. Certainly nobody would go hungry on here!

Breakfast now put away and lunch is being prepared. Smells delicious!

From my lounger I can see airplanes flying away from Palma and part of me wishes I was heading home to my cats! I really miss them when we are away! It’s one of the good things about going home though. I always get the best cuddles as they try to convince us never to go away ever again!

Had wonderful hot tub pre lunch and saw manager and technician working towards rectifying the issue with missing screws in the handrail that keeps the framework in place. I’m impressed with the speed in which they have responded to customer concerns. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- MSC does listen to feedback and it is alway worth reporting any issue onboard. If they don’t know what is wrong, they can’t rectify the issue!
Next we had one last fabulous service from Jay who has been amazing. It’s a treasure to speak to the delightful staff and gain a little incite into their lives.

As we informed the concierge we were ready to leave, I passed he a little duck I had been hiding for people to find. Previously, workers and other guests, have been so very pleased to receive these small fun, gifts. How was I to know, this very day was her birthday and she was absolutely delighted and thanked me for my positive vibes!

Our disembarkation was a dream when Jeannot escorted us off. We recognised Jeannot from one of our trips on Virtuosa in November last year. He was our butler and an excellent one at that. He had not long joined the Seaside and it was a pleasure to see him again, although we had another butler assigned this time. We had a great chat as he led us off.
To our surprise as we were crossing the walkway to the other terminal, with Mr CT’s load suddenly got lighter, as our fabulous, now off-duty, assistant butler Jean Francois swooped in to take the cases he was wheeling! He was all smiles and this really made our leaving sweeter! What a joy these staff are!
Another junior butler who was happy to receive a duck was Glenda who initials us she would take it for her son!

We hid one by a lift too!

Having been settled into the taxi by the butlers we took the short ride to our seafront hotel Costa Azul. There are active roadworks on the long road outside but I had already researched that they do not operate at the weekend so no noise then! It did mean the taxi had to drive to the end of the road to turn around but was only a short two minutes more!

Checking in was straight forward all apart from my Halifax card refusing to work again, as it did in May when we were in Seattle. It’s annoying because it doesn’t charge any currency exchange fees but I had to use another card again. I’ll be changing that bank card when I get home to another bank. Two strikes and now they’re out!! 😅

The view of the cathedral, the port and the ship from here are amazing so, we plan to enjoy seeing the sail out later from our balcony.

We are happy with the room as it’s bright and airy. It has a kettle, free cans of soft drinks , chocolate and a complimentary Sangria. IMG_2444.thumb.jpeg.8b85186287e98458a28228e53167e2b6.jpegIMG_2445.thumb.jpeg.20b66a173b2f3767b875cfc29945ed5c.jpegIMG_2453.thumb.jpeg.12c44556f559bb0200a6f0d141bafafe.jpegIMG_2452.thumb.jpeg.de0d6b700b1e0b1e2e0c7bf9f12848a9.jpeg
