I'm confused..

i just upgraded from an ov to what i thought was a guar.balcony, went to carnivals site which doesn't show a guar.it shows the upper deck, cat. 8a, and cabin 6414.Now, cat. 8 is the verandah deck and the cabin #'s start with 8's.what does this mean?

According to my cruise book, Cabin 6414 is an inside Cat 4C on the Upper Deck. The Category #'s don't correspond to deck numbers. There are Cat 8A's on the Upper Deck. A Category 8 is a Balcony Cabin.

6416 is a balcony cabin on the upper deck towards the very back of the ship. You can look at Carnival's site for deck plans including cabin locations.
