Carnival PVPs.... what they DO!

I don't even know what "PVP" stands for.

After looking around and doing alot of research, I decided to book our cruise through cruisemagic.com and I don't have any complaints to date. The cruise specialist or whatever they are called was great. She answered all my questions and didn't talk "down" to me because I didn't have the finances right away. She worked with me and we got a gurantee balcony on the Legend.

This will be our very first cruise and a special one because we never had a honeymoon when we first got married. This will also be our 20th wedding anniversary and hubby and I will both turn 50 this year.

I was a little leary about booking online, but everything turned out great..just waiting for the docs so that I can do the "doc dance"..lol

I have booked with cruise agencies, one of the the big travel agencies and CCL PVP (Personal Vacation Planner)

The first time I used PVP, I was looking to cruiser the Ecstacy four a four dayer' out of LA and he got me a price way better than any online agency. Mind you, this was back in the day when competiton was allowed.

What I have noticed with anyone other than CCL PVP is that it is hard to get info. For example, has on board stock holder credit been credited to my account? If you have an agent, you have to call the agent and they have to find out for you. Discounts can be a hassle.

Just the other day, I contacted my PVP about a price reduction in my cruise and he got me a $252 credit.

With the current pricing that cruises have, I prefer to go with my PVP.

I think the PVP definitely helped. I got a deal that wasn't found anywhere else.

I got a oceanview room suite for the same price from PVP that available everywhere else.

However she recommended instead of using the bunker beds for kids she can get me a adjoining room with a door in between for just $40 more for the whole trip.

That gives the kids 2 queen beds each.

I think that was a deal.
