texas#1mom Posted June 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2004 We just returned from the Elation. In the lido buffet area the pitchers for coffee were labeled "creamer", so I'm guessing it was non dairy. Don't know if it's drinkable, though. Also, at the coffee bar they offered soy milk for lattes and cappucinos, so I know it's on board. Maybe an e-mail to Carnival customer service would help. Cotton Posted June 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Your booking agent should have asked you if you have any dietary restrictions. At least, my PVP always asks...part of their training, I guess. Years ago, I had a lactose problem and took the lactaid pills. Just a thought. "Laissez les bon temps rouler!" imsulin Posted June 21, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Great info., Cotton! Just wondering if your weather has been as hot and humid as ours has been right next door to you? Awful, isn't it? gasp!!
Triguy Posted June 21, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 21, 2004 Soy milk is not milk, it is a juice. So there is no lactose enzyme contained in it.
Cotton Posted June 22, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 22, 2004 Imsulin - I can't even breathe! Tri - I'm thinking the poster is lactose intolerant, and she WANTS lactose-free OR soy, if either is available. "Laissez les bon temps rouler!" Ari & Jacqui Posted June 22, 2004 Author #9 Share Posted June 22, 2004 Thanks for clearing it up, cotton, that's exactly what I meant. I'll give guest services a call first thing in the morning. If not, I'll look into the pills, just never had to at home, I always have the lactose free option. Thank you!!!! ~J Miracle 6/26!!
