kroozlover60 Posted June 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2004 We just returned from Glory 6/12. Embarkation pretty easy, we booked one week before so picked up docs at pier. Went smoothly, boarded by 1pm, were able to go to cabin at that time. We had 1034 on Panorama, excellent location, just walk straight out to Lido Deck and Red Sail restaurant. Balcony good size with two chairs, one reclines, kept door open most nights, propped open with chair so we could hear the sea. Seas calm going out but leaving St.Maarten all the way to P.Canaveral, moderate seas 4-71/2 feet, had to make unexpected stop close to Turks and Caicos due to hostess of our dining room had emergency with appendicitis. Red Sail huge with many different buffet lines and didnt discover till 3 days later that each line has different items. One line is a different country each day, french, italian, etc. Fish and chips upstairs in Red Sail, kinda bland, like Long John Silvers. Hubby ate at Oriental every day, stuff like kung pow chicken (sp!!), kids ate at Deli, said sandwiches were good, esp. turkey. Other child ate pizza daily, way at aft of ship. Aft pool/jacuzzi's less crowded than on Lido.central. Good ice cream./yogurt but they closed it down early night before end of cruise. Didnt do Emerald Supper Room, wish I had. Went to wine tasting, $2 per glass, very boring but enlightening. Shows all good, esp. broadway show, illusion show sucked, dancers good, comedians very funny, esp. midnight R rated shows. Mark Price good, love his accent. Golden Dining room Late sitting, good service, Waiter kinda rude first night, lamb was raw, he argued with me about that, finally burned it for me. Waiter grouchy but told us that he was homesick for kids/wife, so felt bad for him. Best food was seafood, grouper, snapper, etc. Good soups, esp. west indian pumpkin. Good desserts. Chocolate buffet to die for, chocolate fountain, etc. Ate so much chocolate I crashed shortly after. Deck Party lots of fun, that was Wed.Night. Ronaldo's Latin dance class very fun.Aye Aye Aye!! Casino slots very tight, won $400 first night but rest of cruise, lost. Decor in ship very colorful, ship very clean, everything still very new. Elevators very slow, congested, better to take stairs. Hated having to drink tea/coffee out of plastic cups, if this bothers you, take your own china mug or buy one in gift shop. No more free capuccino/esspresso after dinner. This review is turning out longer than I thought. Son cut his finger and went to infirmary, good service there. Had great lime/ginger massage thing in spa, excellent!! Room service good. Any questions, please ask!!!!!!! Nicky
