Ooooh! Good luck, doxxie, especially since it looks like your sailing was on the 5/7/04 Legend!! The place to start would be with the TA who booked your cruise. They can call Carnival with your booking number and cabin number to see if anything was turned in to their Lost & Found.

Thanks, I'll try that.

I found some credit cards that belonged to the people who were in my cabin the week before, and turned them into the Purser's Desk. But, since it's been so long, and since you don't know who might have seen (and taken or turned in) your ring in the safe, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Sorry to sound so pessimistic, but good luck, anyway!

I've read several posts where people have found items in the safes. I'm sure most are honest and turn the items into the purser's office, BUT we all know some folks might just take a liking to that ring and ... gone-gone. I hope you get it back!

I assume you lost it on your Legend cruise in May. So I would think someone has opened the safe by now and if they were gonna turn it in they would have

If it was someone on the cruise right after you and they did turn it in , then the Pursur or whoever would know it was you who had the cabin last and may try and contact you.

When we were on the Conquest in November. One of the couples we were traveling with were in their cabin on our first night, We hadn't even sailed yet, They hadn't even gotten their luggage and were just relaxing on thier balcony.

The Steward knocked on the door and said they had just gotten a frantic phone call from the lady who had just had that cabin on teh cruise that disembarked that morning and she left her ring in the safe.

My friend sopened it with teh steward their and there was the ring. My friend said it was a rock the size of a doorknob. The steward took it and I will assume brought it to the pursur or lost and found , or whoever handles those things .

So give Carnival a call, there is a chance it may still be in a lost and found somewhere.
