mrdood Posted April 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Welcome to the boards! If you have not, read the guidelines available in the blue link, and you will find more information for yourself by learning to use the search function, these are cruise policy questions that you should probably get from www.carnival.com or they can be found here by searching - here are the answers: Much controversy on dress code as you can read on the boards, one formal night on cruises that are 5 nights or less, 2 if 6 or greater... Dress code: Is there a dress code for the dining room?Depending on the length of the cruise, either formal dress or casual resort wear is required in the Dining Room. The dress requirement for children is the same. For those not wanting to dress up, the Lido restaurants are open nightly (with the exception of the last evening of the cruise), and have a casual dress code. Formal Wear: tuxedo (optional); suit and tie; sport coat, tie and slacks; evening gown; cocktail dress; pantsuit Casual Resort Wear: sport shirts and slacks; dresses; skirts; pantsuit NOTE: Shorts, t-shirts and bathing attire are not permitted in the Dining Room during dinner. kodiac Posted April 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Dress code for us: We wear swim suits all day in the pool area, auctions, and dining areas. At night, we change into something more nice for dinner. Formal night, we "dress to impress". However, if you are not attending sit down dinners on these nights, you may choose to stay in shorts the entire cruise.
