jonsurg Posted April 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2006 What stores are there on the promenade that provide food and is that food that needs to be purchased or is it included in the cost of the cruise. Thanks Chris
pinkrosesdeb Posted April 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2006 You will find the Promenade cafe serving small sandwiches, cookies, desserts and pizza all day. We would stop in late afternoon, grab a few small sandwiches and a cup of coffee for our balcony before our nap. Also, ALWAYS grabbed more than a couple of the cookies. There is no charge for any of that but you will also find the cappuccino bar at the end and they do charge for that. They have tea and coffee available in urns all day. Also, there is a pub of some kind on each ship and I think they may offer a few snacks as well but you will, of course, pay for your drinks. Nliedel Posted April 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2006 You can buy snacks in the shops but there is really no need when there is so much free food around. The cafe has some really good sandwhichs and desserts the pizza is so so. You can also go to your room and order room service for free and the Windjammer has generous hours. mrgabriel Posted April 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2006 In addition to the "free" stuff at the Promenade Cafe, if you are truly desperate, you can buy chips, cookies, some candy bars and other stuff like that in the General Store. We didn't buy any of this, so can't tell you the prices. If you want snacks, room service does have some good choices. We had the cheese tray a couple of times, plus a tuna wrap that was a good size. The wrap came with a small bag of potato chips. We tipped $2 for Room Service, so that was the only cost.
