Slight Problem-handicap assistance cabin help

My husband found out today that is he going to have to have multiple surgeries on his knee and will most likley be in a cast/crutches/wheelchair for our cruise in Sept. We still want to go, but have a 4a guar and so I have no idea where we are going to wind up. Any thoughts on what to do? I don't have any idea how handicap cabins are assigned - I am sure we can get a note from his Dr. detailing the issues.

I would suggest you read the thread on the disabilities section of this board. I know his will be temporary, but they deal with these issues all the time and you can probably get a ship load of info from over there.
