VikkiGarcia Posted April 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I found the Waihee Valley trail on Maui while doing my research for our cruise. It looks like a very interesting three mile hike. My kids would get a kick out of the swinging bridges. We are a family that does a fair amount of hiking (both kids are scouts). It is described as being an uphill climb. Can anyone give me some insight? How hard? How long time wise? Well defined trail? Are the Boy Scout camp signs easy to see from the road? approaching either direction? We are thinking of doing this hike in connection with circling around the west end of the island. We did this road 10 years ago and it doesn't sound like much has changed. We ran into very few other cars. Has it become much more crowded? Thank you for all your help!
