cruisencouple Posted April 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2006 Is it better to make reservation directly at the restaurant or just calling as soon as you get to your room and booking with the concierge? thanks Desiree
ladysheri Posted April 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2006 On the Sapphire Princess in September, we called the concierge on our first day on to make reservations for 2 for the 2nd night of the cruise at 6 pm. (It was not a formal night). We had no problem getting a table; in fact, we saw a number of parties walk up that evening from 6 to 7 pm and ask if there were tables available and get seated immediately. Around 8 pm, there was a bit of a line outside (8-10 people) and these were people with reservations. I have heard that if you want to eat at Sabbatini's on a formal night, you should definitely have reservations. Hope this helps. S
Fuzzzy Posted April 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2006 You can either or stand in a line for reservations both the Sterling and/or Sabitini's. Try calling first. :)
mountainhouse Posted April 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2006 Last March Sabatini's was pretty booked up on the Grand. Sterling you could just walk in any time. So is the region, ship, climate? What drives larger crowds to Sabatini's on some cruise?
