What balcony's are "bad" (no privacy) on the Valor

I read an another thread and some balcony cabins on the Valor have no privacy. We would love to be on the Lido or Panaroma deck but I think those might me the ones we want to avoid. I don't want to pay the extra money to find out I "wasted" it. This is the first solo vacation we have taken (my son went with us on our honeymoon). I could just see us relaxing on the balcony with drinks or coffee....we aren't really into the onboard "games" and I would love to spend alone time just reading in the sun (while he either plays in the casino or hangs out in the sports bar). Otherwise it would be nice to just relax together on the sea days (we have 3 of them)............

oh another thought - star gazing I bet on a clear night that must be amazing

The balconies with the most amount of privacy are the ones on Panorama. Lido is not bad, but can be looked down on from Panorama. But if you are serious about privacy, avoid Verandah Forward. The aft facing windows on the Bridge's "wing" look straight back at these balconies. I would imagine the same problem for Empress forward as well. We were in 1035 Panorama Forward on the 2/26 sailing, and found it to be very private. Hope this helps.

We sailed on the Valor and had 7448 on Empress. This balcony was great! I would not recommend standing on the end of your balcony with no clothing on; however, there were numerous times we sunbathed in our chairs out there with no problems. I have never been in a "bad" balcony cabin before...

We loved our balcony (upper deck) on the Glory last April...best part of the vacation was having room service deliver coffee early each am. They are private to a point. The plexi-glass reflects and the first morning, I realized that I could see my neighbor and his wife from the waist down...not a pretty sight. They probably could see me too but at least I had my bathrobe on! Another issue is voices...if you speak in a regular tone on the balcony, you can hear someone next to you. For us, it was well worth it and I would never sail without one. It's a cruise...you'll never see these people again and I am sure the crew has seen everything before! I wouldn't lay out naked but am sure some folks do. In the evening is wonderful too...can't imagine not leaving our balcony door open all night.
