Infinity Stateroom catagory

 We are thinking of booking on the Infinity for Dec. 30, Valpariso to Buenos Aries and are not sure what cabin to book. We want a verandah. Is the concierge class stateroom woth the extra $$? I like the bigger size verandah and stateroom and the perks that come with it. Compared to some of our cruises, the price was a very good deal for concierge class.

What about the ship and the dinning, is it good? We were recently spoiled on a Crystal cruise especially in terms of food. This summer, we are taking Oceania, Rome to Istanbul but I have some bad vibes from reading their their CC messages. Hope we aren't terribly disappointed. We took a Panama Canal, Ft. Lauderdale to Santiago, Chile on the Mercury and were not crazy about the ship. The food was just so- so. Hopefully, the Infinity is an improvement. Would love to do Crystal but the cost is a bit too steep unless you can find a great last minute deal as we did on the Harmony to Alaska.

You get what you pay for, in general. Crystal is in a class above Celebrity.

I might be wrong, but the Infinity food is going to be the same or possibly a tad better than the Mercury. Oceania should be better than the Celebrity ships and close to Crystal.

That's the one downside of going upscale.

I didn't like paying high prices for a stay at the Miami Mandarin Oriental before a recent cruise, but it will be a bit of a letdown to stay at a Holiday Inn the next time, even though there isn't a thing "wrong" with a Holiday Inn. :(
