Do we need an adaptor onboard if we bring our own hairdryer?

...and which ship are you on - some of the newer ships are configured for both European and American power outlets - but heck, you maybe from the Ford Galaxy for all we know...

First of all, personal irons and hair dryers are not allowed to be brought on board ship.

 

Secondly, outlets are US configured outlets so unless you are from Europe, no adapters are needed. However, it has been our experience there are NEVER enough outlets in the room. Bring an extension code and\or power strip.

Uncle Pat, what are you smoking? Blow dryers are not even available on the older ships... and the ones on the new ships are very weak if you have a female on board with any amount of thick hair, she will need her own blow dryer and they are allowed.

 

Also, newer ships are equipped with both European 220 and American 110 outlets...

The one outlet on the desk is 3 prong, I went to walmart and got a 3 way outlet that didnt take any room and only cost like 99cents.

 

You still require an extention cord if you are using a CPAP machine etc.
