razberrirainbow Posted April 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2006 Is the onboard credit given on the last day when the account is settled? What if you don't use the full amount--will NCL give you that in a credit card refund?

Yes it appears as a credit when the account is settled BUT you can ask at the purser's desk if you have one and the amount. Don't use it - you lose it. NO credit card refund. It is on ON-BOARD credit - solely for use on-board.
shoreguy Posted April 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2006 Both my onboard credits were posted and appeared on my statement early in the cruise. It is a good idea to check early to make sure there is no problem. OBC use it or lose it - can not be used for Service Charge
Big Al B. Posted April 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2006 To add to shoreguy's tip. You should see a card in your cabin informing you of the OBC. I didn't see the card and honestly didn't think much of it. The last day when they gave us our statement, I noticed that it wasn't there. I went to the reception desk and they said it was too late to do anything, that if I had stopped in earlier, they could have helped me. It should be on your account the first day. Check early! Luckily, I have a great TA who did the work for me and we are getting the credit.
