Jef Posted April 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2006 Will be on the 6/2 cruise on EOS out of Bayonne. We don't get get into St Thomas until 1pm. I've already been to STT so I want to go over to St John. Will the excursions to St John be cut short? I don't think we actually leave until about 11, but I don't know what time the ferrys run till and things like that. I posted this in the STT board and got no responses. Thanks! AnthonyD Posted April 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I am on the same cruise and am hoping for an early arrival. Its not out of the question. We should be able to do St. John on our own. I think the Red Hook ferry runs after dinner but I'm definitely going to be sure before I go.
Guest cruzr44 Posted April 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I am reading a STT/STJ guide I picked up in Feb. The ferry runs until 11pm (hourly) from Cruz Bay to Red Hook. It only makes six runs from Cruz Bay to Charlotte Amalie, every two hours with the last one at 3:45. The taxi from CA to RH is $13pp and from CB to Trunk Bay $8pp. In Feb we paid $10 round trip for the ferry from RH to CB.
Sheffie Posted April 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2006 Check out the ferry schedule at http://www.*****. The last passenger ferry to Red Hook leaves Cruz Bay at 11 p.m. I would be sure to be on the 9 p.m. ferry at the latest just to give yourself leeway. Jef Posted April 28, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted April 28, 2006 Thanks for your help, I was planning on going with the excursion just for the safety due to our late arrival, but with those scheuldes, I'm sure we'll be fine. With such a late arrival, I think there will be a mad dash off the ship. I'm hoping to get to Trunk Bay by about 2:30 and then stay there till about 6.
