Are there any 4 or 5 day cruises over a weekend?

I would love to take off for a weekend with a friend of mine - leave our kids at home and just enjoy some girl time, but my DH works 3rd shift so to get someone to watch our kids mid-week is very difficult (the one I want to take is the one who normally would watch them). We are both past Carnival Cruisers and thought what the heck, maybe I could surprise her.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions - we are pretty open on times and dates.

Yes... they have some that leave on a Thursday, Friday... I would suggest doing a "search" on Carnival's website for whatever time frame you are looking, and see what is available... they are definitely out there...I know the Paradise, Holiday, Imagination, Inspiration, and Sensation all have cruises that leave on either Thursday or Friday...

a WEEKEND CRUISE FROM new york to nowhere in October or June. they do these on weekends. There is only one or 2 a year.

I'm looking for something like this in November... there seem to be a few choices from Florida ports to Nassau and other locations in the Bahamas. Saw a few choices on Carnival and Royal Caribbean.

Family did the Carnival Inspiration on 4/20 out of Tampa, Florida - it left on a Thursday and came back Monday - went to Cozumel.

I'd like to know were you work that you get 5 day weekends! We all need a few of these!

Inspiration does 4 day cruises from Tampa to Cozumel every other Thursday returning the following Monday.

 

If you can bear the stress of hurricane season cruising (buy insurance!) look for departures in September. Otherwise, for the next cheapest results look in November, before Thanksgiving.

Sadly, from Chicago any cruise is going to involve one heck of a drive or enduring the ever popular air travel.

 

When the Fantasy starts sailing out of New Orleans again, they will offer 4 and 5 day cruise. The 4 day starts on Thursday and returns on Monday.
