Carnival Legend ports questions

Hi.. my daughter and her roomates are going on a cruise on the Carnival Legend on May 20, 2006. They will stop at 3 ports. The first port in San Juan from 3:00 - 12:00 a.m.. I believe they are going to walk around Old San Juan a little and maybe go to Senior Frogs... Where is this located? walking distance?

The second stop is St. Thomas where they have pretty much the entire day to shop and go to beach. Probably Megans Bay.. anyone else have suggestions on beach that is nice and close by?

The third and final stop is Tortola. They are they from 7:00 - 2:00. Not very long. They are thinking of seeing the "Baths" in Virgin Gorda... They would have to take a ferry? I don't think they will have enough time.. Anyone do this? do they have excursion to be sure your back? Anyone else have suggestion for nice beach in Tortola? or what do you do there?

Thank you for your help.

Yes, it is very close and easy to walk to. We went to the Sheraton Hotel casino and Sr. Frogs is located right behind it. There are a lot of signs pointing the way.

We took a Godfrey tour that included shopping, an island tour, and a couple of hours at a beach of your choice..... we all went to Coki. For only $20 pp we thought it was a good deal and a great way to sample the island in the short amount of time we were there. If you do a Google search on Godfrey Tours you'll find his web-site.

Can't help you on Tortola, but you might want to check it out on the Ports of Call forum:

Go to Cane Garden Bay in Tortola... It's a 20 minute taxi open air bus ride from the ship and cost $6.00 each way... A beautiful beach! We have been twice and are going again in Septemeber... There are changing rooms and food and drinks there too! You can rent chairs, umbrellas and rafts for the water.

If you book the Virgin Gorda tour through Carnival, then you'll make it back to the ship on time. And if for some reason the excursion doesn't return in time, Carnival will wait for you as long as you booked the excursion through them.

If you get to SJ early, try to make it to one of the forts!

St. Thomas, either go Godfrey, or make your way over to St. John to Trunk Bay. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

Also, make sure you spend sometime in downtown Charlotte Amalie.

We did Cane Garden Bay as well. Was going to save the Baths for this year, but we ended up cancelling our 2006 Legend cruise.
