Carnival Conquest Reveiw 4/23-4/30

Ok here is our review. i hope it is good enuff and informative for all you CCers!

Embarkation- We arrived at 11:30. They started about 1:00 i think. i am a lil fuzzy on the times. It went very smoothly. the fun pass line is longer but they opened some more stations and we were on pretty quick. they said our rooms qould be ready at 2;30. they were ready at 2 when i checked. I bought hubby a bunch of sail away honeymoon gifts even a bottle of champange and it was all there. it wasent chilled but it was there.I took a 24 pk of cokes and a 1/2 fifth sealed of canadian mist with some sweet and sour for drinks no problem there they were in the room unscathed.Dinner in Renior dining room very nice good too!

Day 1- At sea very nice. we were already celebs since my hubby was in the welcome abord show the night before.ha ha. Food everywhere was great. the cruise director Todd was good he was not at all annoying.tina his assistant was wonderful too.The point and click show was great.Dining room great tonight.

Day 2- Hubby loved the arcade and i played in the casino.i didnt win but had a good varitiy of games to play.The magician/comidene was good and eddie Capone the comedian was great!! loved him. We went to the capt cocktail party it was fun as well.We ate at the Point this night!! Very good. Very formal food.

Day 3- We stepped of the boat a Jamaica. DO NOT SHOP IN THIS PORT.Very pushy people. But I heard the excursions are wonderful!! So do a Carnival recomended excursion just no shop here!! lol. We took this time to go to the spa for a 2 hour massage and seaweed treatment. Very nice. My girl was easy going hubbys gal was a lil pushy with products but we had a heck of a time. advice to you is to wait a couple mpre days the spa prices go down the longer you sail!Dining room tonight, good.

Day 4- Grand Cayman! Loved it!! Tendering is no troubles if you get there early and get a ticket to get off before your tour. Beautiful port! Shopping is a little high. I would wait. we went with the total stingray tour through carnival! WONDERFUL! The turtle farm GREAT!! HEll COOL. The stingrays AWSOME!! They will want you to buy a cd of pics on the boat afterwards so take cash. 45 buks for all the picks, All we had was 30 so he gave us 2 pictures which we got to choose.We ate pizza tonight.Skipped formals Pizza is great!!

Day 5- Cozumel. Great port. Once again no tendering probs here.Easy going Great tour guide on the Passion Island tour!His name was Issac we gave him 20 bucks for taking care of us!!This is the shopping place!! You will love the varitiy!! Pizza tonight, I was sleepy this time!! lol

Day 6- Sea Relaxing! Lots of relaxing. Hubby was a little burned even with a 60spf make sure u reapply it after you get in the water no matter what it says about waterproof!! lolDinner at the dining room! Great

Day 7- Gettin ready to go. we went and got black tags for our luggage so we would be the first off the ship after self assist. It worked fine. Small line at customs but no problems there either.They do random checks on some people so behave lol.Advice, If you want to self assist you will ge toff the boat after 7:15 am but make sure you dont have a titanic amount of luggage. It is harder on you and the other passengers trying to do the same thing!Dining room was great!

Debarkation- Easy as i have said. Make sure you have very brightly colored tags or somthing to find luggage it will be easier on you.

I saw some people trying to be very casual in the didning room the did frown upon it. We kept it to slacks and skirts and decent dress shirts.

I did not get to see everyone from here there. we went to the meeting spot and i didnt see anyone.

I did get to meet my friend Janis from here.She is great her husband John and her daughter all class A people!! We hope we get to travel with them again!!

We pre paid gratuities and we tipped the steward and matrie d accordingly at the end of the cruise.

Did you guys drive or fly to Galveston? Just wondering because I live in Southaven and am trying to get a good idea of driving time.

I see that MO Bay has not changed in the last five years. We will do an excursion and get thru there as fast as possible!
