pampaul Posted May 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2006 Can someone tell me which restaurants have a cover charge (or whatever they call it) and which ones don't? We'll be going for a week and I'm sure we're not going to want to eat in the buffet everyday but DH won't pay for the other restaurants. Thanks in advance!!! johnql Posted May 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2006 Here's how the dining venues break down on the Dawn: Included, no reservations required Aqua (main dining room) Impressions (main dining room) Venetian (main dining room) Garden Cafe Buffet Bimini Bar & Grill Blue Lagoon - 24/7 eatery Pearly Kings Pub - Fish & chips Ondeck BBQs Late night snacks served in the casino Room service - 24/7 Specialty Restaurants - included, reservations required La Trattoria - Italian Salsa - Tex-Mex Specialty Restaurants - surcharge, reservations required Bamboo - 3 eateries in 1 - Asian fusion restaurant / sushi / Teppanyaki Cagney's Steakhouse Le Bistro - French I understand how your DH probably feels about not wanting to pay for a surcharge restaurant, but if you can convince him to, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I think Le Bistro, Cagney's and Teppanyaki are all easily worth the nominal surcharge.
jingming Posted May 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2006 On the topic of food and restaurants. Can I ask if we can go to different restaurants at the same lunch/dinner? For example, if I don't like what I've ordered at one place or maybe just order an appetizer, is it possible to have the entree or dessert somewhere else? Does NCL keep track of how many times we've eaten?
johnql Posted May 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2006 jingming, you can absolutely go to more than one dining venue for the same meal. That's one of the fun aspects of Freestyle dining. You can go to dinner early at 5:30 and have an appetizer and entree. Then, go to the show, after which you can go back to the dining room just for dessert and coffee (or even another entree). No problem whatsoever.
jingming Posted May 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2006 sounds great! I like to eat small meals but quite frequently. I'm glad to know that NCL accomodates to that! Thank you for your reply, johnql. :)
