February 4 Cruisers out of FL ports

We are sailing on Freedom out of Miami on 2/4/2007 (YAY!!). I discovered by accident while trying to find a hotel room for the 3rd, that not only is February 4 Super Bowl Sunday, but it's being held in Miami this year! Got on it immediately and managed to find a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale for the group we're traveling with, and thought I'd share the info just in case anyone else sailing that weekend hasn't realized the potential problem yet. Also bit the bullet and booked my air because I'm afraid flights will sell out far in advance also.

You should also see about booking your transportation as well. I suspect that you will have a hard time finding last minute transportation there as well. I'm sailing the week after you out of Ft. Lauderdale and even we're having troubles finding hotels.
